Important Information for the 2024 Derby!

Wawa Lake No-Fishing Zone
On Wawa Lake, due to the location of the Municipal Water Intake, the Municipality of Wawa has imposed a no-fishing zone between the points at which Gold Street and Ontario Street terminate at Wawa Lake. A distance of 1,000 feet from shore IS A PROHIBITED AREA

Meal Tickets are no longer being given.

New this year, online registrations can be submitted using e-Transfer for the low price of $160.00!.

This year, fishing will again be allowed on all three lakes (Wawa Lake, Hawk Lake and Manitowik Lake).

* See Rule 13 for the specific game species that may be entered.

Rule 3 - A valid fishing licence is required to have a fish weighed in the Wawa Ice Fishing Derby, for all individuals requiring a fishing licence under provincial regulations.

In accordance with Ontario Gaming Laws, each adult 18 years of age or over may purchase as many entries as (s)he wishes, and all fishing entries for minor children must be in the name of the parent/guardian.
